An incision that is hidden around the ear is used. This may sometimes extend into the hairline. Skin flaps are dissected to allow exposure of the deeper structural support of the face. Sutures are then used to reinforce and support the deep ligamentous structures of the face. Sutures are also used to lift the deeper tissue of the face. The excess skin is then redraped and resutured in a tensionless fashion to prevent any pull on the ear.
The procedure is often combined with fat transfer. Some of your own fat is harvested from your abdomen. This fat is processed and prepared to improve its purity. This is then injected into areas like the cheek, temple, jaw line and lips. This can help to reduce fine wrinkle lines and deeper lines like the nasolabial fold and nasojugal fold.
Other surgical procedures like upper blepharoplasty, lower blepharoplasty and brow lifts can also be used to aid with the overall total facial rejuvenation.
Pre treatment and post treatment of the facial skin quality can be further used to enhance the overall results.
