FACE LIFT

Why Have a Face Lift?

Face Lifts are performed to address the signs of facial ageing. The procedure tightens loose skin, jowling and facial wrinkles. It does not improve wrinkles around the mouth, chin or around the eyes.

How is a Face Lift Performed?

An incision is made in front of the ear, beneath the ear lobe through to the area behind the ear. The tissues of the face are repositioned and held with sutures and excess skin is removed. There are two drains which are removed twenty-four hours after the procedure. The procedure takes approximately three hours and is performed under a general anaesthetic. There is a hospital stay between one to two days.

NECK LIFT

Why Have a Neck Lift?

A Neck Lift is a surgical procedure to improve neck contour by removing excess and sagging skin or fat.

How is a Neck Lift Performed?

A small incision is made just under the chin and excess fat is removed.  The platysma muscle is also stitched and tightened, in turn, tightening the skin. If excess skin needs removal, an incision behind the ear is also made.  A neck lift is an overnight hospital procedure taking approximately two and a half hours. A drain may be required and the procedure is performed under general anaesthetic

BLEPHAROPLASTY (UPPER EYELID REDUCTION)

Why Have a Blepharoplasty?

Blepharoplasty is a surgical procedure on the upper and/or lower eyelids designed to remove excess skin folds and bulging fat bags to improve eye appearance. The procedure rejuvenates the periorbital region but will not improve wrinkles of the cheeks, temples or forehead. It also does not correct problems caused by drooping eyebrows.

How is a Blepharoplasty Performed?

For the lower eyelid an incision is made just under the eyelid. For the upper eyelid, an incision is made on the upper fold of the eye lid. It is a day procedure, and takes approximately one hour for either the upper or lower eyelid, or two hours for combined upper and lower eyelids. A blepharoplasty is performed under light sedation, local or general anaesthetic. The patient is unable to drive home from the hospital following the procedure.

RHINOPLASTY (NOSE JOB)

Why Have Rhinoplasty?

A rhinoplasty is a surgical procedure to change the shape of the nose. This includes straightening, hump removal, nose tip reshaping or addressing breathing difficulties.

How is Rhinoplasty Performed?

The incisions are made inside the nostrils. Some rhinoplasty operations require the incision to be made across the columella (skin between the nostrils). These incisions allow access to reshape the cartilage and bones of the nose and septum. It is an overnight hospital procedure which takes approximately two hours and is performed under general anaesthetic.
