What is IPL?

IPL works by delivering specifically filtered wave lengths of light in controlled pulses to the desired area using a high-tech medical grade machine.  At Sculpt we invest in the use of advanced lasers from Sciton®.  At Sculpt we specialise in the use of IPL for a range of beauty needs including:

• Permanent hair reduction,
• Treatment for sun damaged skin,
• Treatment for broken capillaries,
• Treatment for redness and mottled pigmentation (freckles and sunspots),
• Treatment for acne,
• Rejuvenation for aging skin, and:

What should I expect when having IPL?

Having IPL treatments has been known to be painful and unpleasant- however, at Sculpt, we guarantee minimal discomfort for our clients. Before your treatment, a local topical anaesthesia cream can be applied- numbing the area before IPL has even begun.During the treatment, we ensure two barriers are used to eliminate the feeling of heat emitted from the handpiece- a cooling gel is applied to the area before your treatment, and the IPL handpiece is technologically crafted to be cooled at a low temperature.At Sculpt we trust that our experienced skin therapist will ensure complete comfort, care and ease during your IPL treatment.

What kind of results can I expect?

The results of IPL treatments for permanent hair reduction will depend on certain factors including individual hair texture, location, thickness and colour. The treatment time varies depending on the desired area.  In most cases, we recommend undergoing between three to six IPL treatments to achieve full, successful results.The results of IPL treatment for skin tightening and rejuvenation will vary on the type of aging effects seen on the skin. The treatment time varies depending on the desired area.

MICRODERMABRASION

What is Microdermabrasion?

Microdermabrasion is a controlled exfoliation treatment for various levels of re-surfacing. Skin re-surfacing improves the general health of your skin by stimulating the natural production of healthy, new skin cells.  Microdermabrasion works well to treat:

• Scarring,
• Open pores,
•  Wrinkles,
• Sun-damaged skin,
• Hyper-pigmentation,
• Some stretch marks, and;
•  Improves general skin health.

What should I expect when having Microdermabrasion?

Sculpt’s experienced skin therapist ensures that a controlled level of crystals are emitted onto the skin, creating only a light scratching sensation. The treatment takes between 45 minutes to an hour.

What kind of results can I expect? 

 After the treatment the skin will feel slightly tight as if it has been exposed to sun or wind. If a deeper treatment is performed, some redness and swelling may occur, but will subside within a few days. Also, some skin types may peel and our therapist generally recommends the use of an effective moisturiser and protection from sun exposure. Two to three days following the treatment the new healthy skin will feel smooth, soft and rejuvenated- giving your skin a natural glow. 

PEELS 

 
What are Peels?
Peels are made up of a cocktail of natural acids and controlled chemicals which are penetrated into the skin- giving you desired results with minimum down time. Peels are also a form of skin resurfacing which work to remove unhealthy thin layers of skin in order to stimulate cell production. 

At Sculpt we offer two types of peels: cosmetic and chemical. Cosmetic peels do not require any down time and makeup can be applied straight after. Chemical peels are safe and effective, but do require down time varying from two to five days, depending on the strength of the peel.

What should I expect when having a Peel? 

Depending on the strength of the peel, some clients may experience a warm sensation with a bit of tingling. The treatment takes between 45 minutes to an hour.

What kind of results can I expect?

Skin types ranging from dry and dehydrated to oily and congested will feel softer, smoother and healthier than ever before. 

FACIALS

What are Facials?

At Sculpt we offer unique facial treatments, using only the best in medical-grade products, specifically tailored to suit individual skin problems. We can treat all skin types including:

• Sensitive skin that needs a less abrasive, calming treatment,

What should I expect when having a Facial?

There is no down time with our facials.  The treatment takes between 30 and 90 minutes.  You’ll walk out with rejuvenated, nourished, hydrated and glowing skin.

OXYGEN FUSIONWhat is Oxygen Fusion?

This is a specialised treatment designed to hydrate and rejuvenate! The oxygen-infused treatment works to stimulate blood circulation, leaving you with a youthful, glowing complexion.  All skin types will benefit from oxygen fusion.
